Thank you Julia. Fans at the group are going to watch an episode in his honour too - you are the second one to choose Blind Spot! I agree he was an astonishingly good-looking man!

A year ago today the world lost a wonderful actor and beautiful man in Richard Bradford. He was very real and very genuine and sadly very underrated. I shall be watching man in a suitcase dvd's today in memory of him. "Blind Spot" is one of my favourite's He was such an incredibly good looking man.

Hello Jerry, First off thank you for contacting the MIAS website. I asked Richard Harris a few years ago if McGill had a first name? He replied that they never gave him one - think it was considered more 'tougher' for him just to go by his surname. That's an interesting point you brought up though. Next time I watch this episode I will listen out for it! Incidentally did you know they got the name McGill from a footballer who's team Harris supported! Thanks again and happy viewing!

I am watching my box set of the series at the moment. In Part 1 of "Variation On A Million Bucks" his girlfriend Taiko speaks to him at a party as he is looking out of a window, and I'm sure calls him 'Paul'. I had always assumed that his forename was never known, but is my hearing correct?

My best friend Paul and I watched MIAS when first screened.
Only 10 years old - we knew McGill was the coolest guy on TV.
Every year, I re-watch all episodes as a fond tribute to a great series and wonderful actor.

Hello Pete,

Thank you for your nice message and I hope you are keeping well. There will be a book getting published which features a breakdown on the MIAS episode 'Day of Execution'. The author is Rodney Marshall. Don't worry I haven't forgotten about the website or Richard - did you see the picture of the MIAS US presskit I added only a couple of weeks back? Thanks as ever for your interest and enthusiasm!

Hi Julia - they divorced in 1980. Don't believe everything you read at Wikipedia or at the IMDB. Online they had his birth year wrong for years even though I told them it was 1934 a long time ago! Hope this helps!

I have to say I am confused as it states in the Scotsmen that he and eileen elliot divorced yet on Wikipedia it seems to say she was his spouse up until death

Thank you Julia - I have informed the folk at the MIAS yahoo group too and others are going to play an episode (or more!) as their tribute to the great man and wonderful actor. The service will be at 2.00pm which I'm told is around 10.00pm in the UK. It will be nice having his life celebrated on both sides of the big pond! Thanks again for remembering him.
